We’re proud to shine a spotlight on one of the incredible organisations we sponsor – Ollie’s Echo: Pathways to Prevention Ltd.
Founded in memory of Ollie Hughes, Ollie’s Echo is dedicated to raising awareness and preventing eating disorders, particularly anorexia, in boys. Their mission is to empower young people and families with the knowledge, support, and resources they need to navigate the complexities of eating disorders.
Since their launch fundraiser in May, their Founder, Mia Bannister, has already spoken to 885 children and is on track to reach over 2,500 by the end of the year, along with a dedicated parent group as well.
Mia recently represented Ollie’s Echo on the national stage, speaking alongside the Prime Minister at a press conference in Canberra about the new social media reforms for under-16s. She shared:
“Thank you to the collective of individuals, charities and organisations who came together and sang from the same song sheet to make this legislation a reality. It wasn’t the result of one voice, but the power of many, united in purpose, driven by hope and committed to protecting our kids… This restriction, whilst specific to account creation, is a good starting point. We won’t stop pushing for real, meaningful reform. Together, we made change happen, and together we will keep going. Thank you.”
As a proud partner of Ollie’s Echo, we’re honoured to support them as they grow, spread awareness, and empower communities across Australia.
